Detailed Itinerary

The departure time for the tour is early in the morning around 8 am. Our guide and driver will pick you up at your accommodations in a private air-conditioned vehicle. It takes approximately 3 hours to get to the waterfalls. The drive is through a picturesque landscape dotted with Berber villages, giving you a bit of a feel of the Moroccan culture. You will see marvelous historic towns along the way, and typical Berber villages of the High Atlas Mountain range. We will pass under the eye-catching shades of ancient olive trees upon arriving at the waterfalls.

Once there, we start exploring the site. The dramatic cascades of the Ouzoud Falls are a powerful sight to behold. Located in the Middle Atlas, the waterfalls are about 330 ft (110 meters) high, making them the tallest falls in North Africa. You can go to the very top of the falls to see an astonishing view of the site, including the beautiful paths down below. At the bottom of the falls, you get to enjoy the cool breeze produced by the waters falling into the El-Abid River. Be sure to capture the moment when you see rainbows appear in the falls. We will have lunch at one of the places in the area.

The afternoon will be engaged in various activities, including swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the El-Abid River and, checking out the local monkeys roaming the trees and wading in the water. In the late afternoon, we will set off on our return journey. You will get to enjoy the beautiful mountainous landscape on your way back to Marrakech. Our driver will drop you off at your accommodations. This ends our spectacular single-day Ouzoud Falls tour.
