This morning, after breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel in Marrakech and set off in a comfortable private air-conditioned vehicle for your 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert. The journey will take you through major tourist destinations Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate. The scenic road trip takes you to the breathtaking view of picturesque High Atlas Mountains as you head to Ait Benhaddou. There are various stops along the way to take pictures of the High Atlas Mountains and the spectacular landscape along the Tizi n’Tichka pass 7414 ft (2260m).

At Ait-Benhaddou, we will visit the beautiful ancient Kasbahs. Estimated to be over 1200 years old, these fortified, red-earthen villages provide a glimpse of what ancient Morocco looked like. The ancient vibe of this city got it featured in the popular Game of Thrones series. You will have lunch at this place and enjoy the local cuisine and centuries-old recipes.

In the afternoon we will take a scenic desert road trip to Ouarzazate city, where we will stop near the Atlas Studios for a photo session before proceeding downtown for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt. The exotic backdrop of the Ouarzazate is what makes it a favorite for many movies and TV shows. The road trip will also take you past small, lush oasis towns. From here we will be on our way to Dades Valley where we will be spending the night.

The next morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will drive towards Todra Gorge. The scenic road trip will take you through the panoramic views of the Dadès Valley, past Imeder and Tanghir, where you can take pictures at various stops. At Todra Gorges, you will be wowed by massive canyons, which are a 400-meter-deep fault splitting the orange limestone into a deep ravine. In addition to driving through the gorge for a fantastic sight, you will also enjoy hiking the Todra River Gorge on foot. Take as many pictures as you like against the backdrop of the Todra Gorge. It will definitely be a lifetime experience.

After enjoying the Todra Gorge, we will take another road drive and arrive in the oasis town of Erfoud by lunchtime. There is a variety of local food for you to choose from. You will also enjoy some of the traditional cuisines of the local people. Erfoud is referred to as the fossil city of Morocco because of its rich fossil deposits. We will visit a local craft workshop to see how the fossil is extracted from bedrock.

After that we will continue to the Sahara desert and enjoy the beautiful desert view as we approach Merzouga, where you will take one of the best desert camel rides in Morocco. You can climb the sand dunes, enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes, and experience the unique silence of the vast Sahara desert. Some of these giant dunes are over 600 feet (200 meters) high. You will then spend the night at a traditional Berber nomad camp and enjoy a traditional Berber meal. You will also get a taste of their traditional music with dancing around the campfire before going to sleep. It will definitely be fun! Here the second of your 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert ends.

We will wake up early in the morning to experience the magical view of the sunrise on top of the dunes in the Sahara Desert. It is one of the few places in Morocco where you can see the Sahara. A camel ride will take us back to Merzouga where our driver will be waiting to take us on a more immersing trip into the desert. We will freshen up and take off towards Hassilabied and Khamlia villages. On the way we will come across nomads living in the desert and listen to live Gnawa music by the local tribes. We will drive deeper into the desert to Lake Dayte Sarje, an oasis at the dunes, and a visit to see black volcanic rocks. This will be an unforgettable experience in the desert.

The rest of the afternoon we will be spending at Rissani which is an important commercial town. We will have traditional lunch with a Moroccan family here and after lunch we will visit the town-s famous souks. In the evening, we will drive back to Merzouga to spend the night at a riad.

After breakfast, we will start the last day of our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert. We pass Rissani again before driving south to the small town of Alnif. We will explore the town and have lunch here. After our meal, we will carry on to the oasis of Tazarine, where we will get to enjoy beautiful green nature before driving on to the oasis of Nkob for another beautiful experience. We will then pass by the sublime Draa valley. This beautiful valley provides a perfect place for taking pictures with its lush and green fields irrigated by the Draa River. We will then carry on towards the Berber village of Agdz and the Ait Saoun pass (5440 ft, or 1660 meters above sea level).

Next, we will drive through Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou on our way to Marrakech. By the evening we will have reached Marrakech, where our 4 days Marrakech desert tour to Merzouga comes to an end. Our driver will drop you off at your riad or hotel, thus ending the spectacular 4-days Morocco desert tour.
