On the first day of your 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will pick you up from your riad in a comfortable air-conditioned car and set off for a 3-day mind-blowing desert tour of Morocco. Our journey starts with a scenic road trip from Fes to Merzouga. It is a drive that offers breathtaking mountainous landscapes, contact with several small towns, small kasbahs, ancient ruins and Berber villages, among other fascinating attractions. Our first stop will be the town of Ifrane. This small town is commonly known as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco” due to its incredibly clean environment. We will explore both the old and modern town of Ifrane before resuming our drive towards the city of Azrou. Along the way, we will see more Moroccan villages, small Kasbahs, and beautiful mountainous landscapes. At Azrou, we will tour the cedar forest that is popularly known for its amiable monkey troops. You will enjoy playing with the monkeys and feeding them before heading on another thrilling road drive to the town of Midelt. We will stop for lunch in a small town of Midelt before driving on to Merzouga. Upon arriving at Merzouga, you will be in for one of the best desert camel rides in Morocco. You will be climbing giant dunes, enjoying a beautiful sunset over them, and experiencing the unique silence of the desert at night. You will then spend the night at a traditional Berber nomad camp, enjoying classical Berber music with dancing around the campfire before going to sleep. For those inclined to watching the stars, the Sahara desert offers an incredible experience. Indeed, you will end up your day under the shining stars of the desert.

In the morning you can experience the magical sunrise on top of the dunes in the Sahara. Our tour guide will wake you up early to ensure that you don’t miss this desert sunrise. Be sure to bring the camera to capture the moment as well as the early morning sight of Sahara desert. Following there, you will get another camel ride back to the hotel where your driver will be waiting for you to resume the journey to Todra Gorge. Also, immediately after freshening up, we will be on a spectacular road trip to Todra Gorge. The beautiful landscape will wow you on the way to the site. Upon arrival, you will be amazed by massive canyons which are about 400 meters deep. We will walk around in the Todra Valley and tour major oases alongside it. You will have fun hiking the Todra River Gorge on foot and you will have all the time to take as many pictures as you like while on site. We will be having lunch at a restaurant serving local food. After lunch, we will be visiting gardens along the riverside and will also see Berber villages. In the evening, you will get to enjoy a fantastic sunset before retiring to sleep at your riad. After breakfast at your riad, we will be taking a drive from Todra Gorge to Ouarzazate. It will be another scenic road trip that passes through Tinghir and Imeder towns. You will get to enjoy the panoramic view of the Dadès Valley. We will be stopping along the way for photo sessions at these sites. On approaching Ouarzazate, you will be amazed by the sight of the city and its mighty architecture. It makes for a perfect blend of traditional and modern civilization. We will visit the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Tifoultoute. Among the other major attractions we will be visiting are Ouarzazate’s Main Square and the Atlas Film Studios. Having seen these we will be on a road trip to Ait Benhaddou village. It is a village that hosts the most popular Kasbah in Morocco - the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. The fortified, red-earthen village provides a glimpse of ancient Morocco. The village is over 1200 years old, and most of the original structures are still intact. Roaming the passageways in this Kasbah feels like walking in the ancient world. We will visit other villages to get an experience of the cultures of the local tribes before our final trip towards Marrakech - the last drive of the 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. The road trip to Marrakech is one of the most scenic stretches on the tour. The road reveals the breathtaking view of picturesque High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass. Later, we will make several stops to allow for you to take pictures of the Tizi n’Tichka pass and the magnificent snowcapped peaks. By the evening, we will have reached Marrakech, where our 3-days desert tour comes to an end. Our driver will drop you off at your riad or hotel, thus ending the spectacular 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech via the desert.
