10 Days Morocco Trip from Tangier

Tour Route:

Tangier – Chefchaouen – Meknes – Fes – Ifrane – Arfoud – Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech.


We will begin our 10 Days Morocco trip from Tangier to Marrakech in Tanjier and travel through traditional villages to Chefchaouen, also known as “the blue city.” Following that, we will visit the imperial city of Meknes, the Berber Roman ruins at Volubilis, and spend a full day in Fes with a local guide. 

Crossing through the middle Atlas via Ifrane (the Moroccan Switzerland), Azrou, cedar forest, passing by several towns, Midelt (the capital of apples), Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m), Valley of the palm grove, Erfoud, and overnight in a Berber tent. Then we will take another way to Marrakech passing through Rissani Market, Todra gorge, Dades gorge, and Ait ben Haddou With a native guide.

This 10 days tour will include the exploration of two main Moroccan tourist destinations, Marrakech and Essaouira to be the two last points you are going to visit before closing this magnificent journey.

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

During the first day of your 10 days Morocco trip from Tangier to Marrakech, we will be waiting for you at the airport or pick you up from your accommodation to start the journey.
First of all, we are going to discover the current city and the capital of the north, Tangier city, one of the biggest cities in Morocco that has different sites to visit like the cave of Hercules and visit the kasbah and the old part of the city (old medina). Eating lunch in a restaurant that serves local food.
After all that, we will move directly to the city of Chefchaouen, 80 km away from Tangier, also called “the Blue Pearl”. An attractive town that is very well known for the blue colors that design the streets, walls, and staircases. There we will spend the night in a local hotel with dinner.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

The second day of our trip will lead us from Chefchaouen to a new destination to discover after we had a delicious breakfast in our accommodation. Before leaving the city we will discover the narrow blue painted streets and take a lovely picture. 
We will then move south directly toward the old Roman city ruins (volubilis) to see the old civilization architecture and take pictures between pillars.
After A few minutes of driving, we will be in Meknes city, an imperial city that is full of historical sites that you need to see like the Bab Mansour, one of the biggest doors in Africa which belongs to hundreds of years ago.
Fes, will be the next destination, we will leave Meknes after lunch and be in Fes in one hour of driving. Directed to the hotel or Riad to have dinner and spend the night there and save power for the city tour guided the following day.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing

Welcome to the old Moroccan city where you will have the entire day Exploring Fes, the imperial capital of Morocco and a rich cultural heritage.
We will start by exploring the old Medina of Fes with the help of a local guide. We will see the traditional souks, the royal palace's gates, and the Karaouine University. In actuality, the Quaraouiyine is still in operation and is the oldest university in the world.
We'll continue our tour after lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant by seeing the Batha Museum and the Nejjarine Fountain. Before we eventually return to our Riad, and to close the day and enjoy a sweeping view of the city, we'll stop at a café on a terrace to see the sunset .

Day 4: Fes - Ifran - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga

The next morning, we will go early from Fes and cross the Middle Atlas in order to get to Merzouga.
We will stop in the village of Ifrane, popularly referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, before traveling to the forests of Azrou, where we will witness wild macaque monkeys. We will have lunch at Midelt City, the geographic heart of the Middle Atlas, before continuing our journey.
We must stop to take in the view and perhaps take some photos as we pass through the breathtaking Ziz valley on our journey.
Later, we will pass by the arid villages of Erfoud on our approach to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi desert. We will first take in the stunning desert surroundings before going inside the hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Merzouga Sightseeing

We will have a great time discovering Merzouga's surroundings and discovering more about the desert culture on this day of our excursion. First, a short 4x4 journey across the sand dunes will take us to the old Khamlia town. The masters of Gnaoua music reside in Khamlia, which explains why the settlement is so significant to the region.
Following this, we'll make a brief stop at Serji Lake, home to various seasonal birds like pink flamingos, before going to a nomad family in the desert to discover more about their way of life and culture.
Following lunch, we will return to Merzouga and spend some time relaxing there. Be ready for a camel ride through sand dunes,  we will be able to take in the stunning desert panoramic sunset. 
After arriving at the private desert camp, we will enjoy a delicious traditional dinner and spend the remainder of the evening dancing to local music. well-appointed tents for the night.

Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

You'll need to get up early this morning to witness the magnificent sunrise over the sand dunes. Following that, we will take the camels back to our accommodation in Merzouga where we may have a shower and eat breakfast. A short drive from your current place to Rissani, take your time to explore the largest market in the area
Then, we'll set out for the renowned Todra gorges, a trekking destination that draws tourists from all over the world. After lunch, we'll take a trip to the valley of Dades to visit the area known as "the road of the thousand Kasbahs'' before making our way to the road, where we'll spend the night.

Day 7: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

The following morning, you will eat breakfast at the same hotel before making your way through the many Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, a popular filming location. We'll stop in Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the rose valley, en route so that we can tour the regional cooperative for the rose business.
For the next stop on our unique tour of Morocco, we will go to Ait Ben Haddou, a kasbah constructed in the 19th century by Et Hami El Glaoui and now included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, constructed it in the 19th century, and it is now home to numerous Glaoui people. Last but not least, we head for Marrakech, where you'll spend the night in a riad and get ready for the guided city tour the following day.

Day 8: Marrakech Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will have a city tour of Marrakech with a knowledgeable tour guide at your side. The grand Koutoubia Mosque, a Marrakech landmark that served as an influence for other buildings such as the Giralda in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rabat, kicks off the journey. Your next visit is the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs.
The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date to the sultan Ahmad al-reign. Mansur's The graves were refurbished by the Beaux-arts personnel after their 1917 discovery. We will make sure to visit the tomb where around sixty members of the Saadian Dynasty, which originated in the valley of the Draa River, are interred.
Not only that, but after lunch head over to the well-known Jemaa El Fna Square, where you can find a wide range of treats as well as snake charmers, local singers, and fortune tellers. The great square of old Marrakech, the Jemaa el Fna, is unlike any other site on earth. In addition, you can come across thousands of handcrafted things as you meander around the souks. Visit the Riad for the night.

Day 9: Marrakech - Essaouira

We will take a private excursion to the gorgeous city of Essaouira on the day before the last one of our journey. The following morning, we will depart from Marrakech and travel through the lovely fields of argan trees. Occasionally, we may be able to see wild lambs scaling Argan trees to reach their nuts.
Our time here will be spent exploring the city's historic Medina and the Portuguese and Andalusian architecture that adds to its allure. Keep an eye out for Essaouira's Old Medina, which is really recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. Overall, we'll savor the town's vibe and delectable fare before returning to our lodging for the night.

Day 10: Marrakech - Airport

After breakfast on the final day of our 10-day trip, we'll head back to Marrakech. Along the Atlantic coast and through forests, we'll get there, bringing an end to your ten days excursion. We'll make sure you've visited all the tourist attractions you wanted to see and had one of the best tours throughout Morocco that you'll want to repeat.
