Morocco Trip to Dades Valley

The Dades Valley, or ‘Road of a thousand kasbahs’ runs from Ouarzazate to the east of Tineghir and the Todra Gorges. The route by car is spectacular, with hundreds of kasbahs that the Berbers erected to defend themselves against invaders and that are dotted along the entire route, winding through impressive landscapes typical of the Sahara desert, villages, forests, and palm groves…

Dades Valley

Once again, the Dades Valley owes its name to the river that meanders nestled between the mountains along its route, backed by other, terracotta, and red cliffs. Visitors can enjoy beautiful Kasbahs, fortified mansions, mountains crossed by streams, and canyons… A variety of landscapes are really worth visiting. Continuing the path you will be able to appreciate one of the most beautiful rose gardens in the valley.

The Dades Valley’s scenery is untamed, with semi-desert on one side and snow on the other. Its wild grandeur and otherworldly silence can only be matched by the Grand Canyon. The river forms the valley along a winding path full of fruits, nuts, wheat, birch, and almond trees, giving us a set of spectacular rock formations.

How to get to the Dades Valley

In order to visit and enjoy the Dades Valley, it is advisable to do so by car. If you do not have your own car, you should think about the option of renting a car in Morocco. You can also hire an excursion or order the organization of a tailor-made trip around the area. Another alternative is to hire a Grand Taxi from a nearby town or take a bus (this last option is the cheapest).
